DuetReader is intentionally offline-first so your reading, listening, and translation history stay on your device. We do not run background trackers, analytics, or ads. DuetReader is a calm space for learning, and we designed every workflow to keep your information in your hands.
What we collect
- Nothing. We do not collect, store, or sell personal details, reading history, audio, or imported documents.
- All actions—from translating to listening—stay on the device you are holding.
Your Google API key
- If you add a Google API key, it is encrypted and saved locally on your device.
- The key is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.
Local processing first
- Translations, imports, and playback rely on your device's resources whenever possible.
- Network requests only occur when you explicitly enable services that require the internet.
Third-party services
- Beyond the optional Google services you choose to activate, DuetReader integrates with no analytics suites, advertising networks, or data brokers.
- There are no hidden scripts or background trackers inside the app.
Your choices
- Use DuetReader without sharing any personal data.
- Clear or replace your API key at any time.
- Delete the app to remove all data from your device.
